I’m a first-generation daughter of immigrant parents, and I am passionate about helping individuals in the Hispanic/LatinX community overcome the stigma around therapy. I provide a safe, authentic, and supportive space where clients can feel understood and empowered.
I have experience working with survivors of trauma, including childhood abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, immigration trauma, and generational trauma. I also help clients navigate life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, stress management, and relationship challenges. My goal is to help you understand how your experiences have shaped your emotional well-being and to normalize your reactions along the way.
I’m passionate about helping people who often feel misunderstood or overlooked — especially those navigating substance use and mental health challenges. Over the years, I’ve seen how stigma can prevent people from seeking help, and I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves.
I have a master’s degree in counseling and am an LPC, LCDC, AADC, and ICRC with over 25 years of experience. I offer a calm, down-to-earth space where you don’t have to have it all together to get support. We’ll focus on what you want for your life, and I’ll be right there with you as you work toward those goals.
The majority of my sessions are with couples. I enjoy working with pre-marital or pre-engaged clients who are looking to discuss sometimes difficult subjects before getting married. I also enjoy working with committed partners who may be struggling to communicate or connect in a intimate way who are looking for some guidance in their relationship.
I like to help couples to understand each other in a more profound way to help strengthen their existing relationship. It is sometimes difficult to talk to our partners about necessary subjects. My hope as a counselor is to provide a safe environment to discuss these topics with my clients.
I currently see clients with anger management issues as well and I am certified in Anger Resolution Therapy. I particularly enjoy working with couples who are experiencing anger issues in their relationship. I also recently finished training for my Sex Therapy Candidates' License, and I am accepting sex therapy clients.
