As a Black, queer, neurodivergent clinician, I know I have a unique perspective when it comes to mental health and wellbeing. If you are looking for someone different, someone who will really listen to your concerns, and help you achieve your goals, don't look further. I am an integrative psychiatric provider, and I believe that mental health is a lot more than medications, but medications can also help! I am inclusive and enjoy working with a diverse group of individuals that struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, autism, and ADHD. I also enjoy working with "higher functioning" folx and professionals. *I see clients ages 16 -65 years old.*
I work with adults who are experiencing depression and mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and substance use concerns. My approach integrates careful diagnostic evaluation with collaborative, evidence-based medication management, always considering the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence well-being.
I believe it’s important for patients to feel informed, respected, and supported. I have worked across hospital, emergency, outpatient, and forensic settings. All of these experiences have shaped a thoughtful, evidence based approach to assessment and treatment.
I’m a New York based double board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience helping adults manage depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based care. I take time to understand your symptoms, background, and goals to create a personalized treatment plan that fits your life. I completed my medical training at the University of Mumbai, followed by residency at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn and a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. My background includes work at institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, NYU Langone, and currently New York-Presbyterian, where I serve as Unit Chief and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine. Whether you’re facing ongoing challenges or navigating a new diagnosis, I’m here to help you move forward with support and clarity.
I am a doctorally prepared, dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their mental health journey.
By integrating my medical and psychiatric expertise, I take a holistic approach to care, addressing both physical and emotional well-being to help improve overall health outcomes. My goal is to partner with you to develop a personalized plan that supports your growth, stability, and long-term wellness
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I believe health is a human experience, not simply a clinical checklist. My background in traditional psychiatry has given me a strong understanding of mental health across diverse settings, grounded in evidence-based practice.
I take a compassionate, collaborative, and structured approach to care. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported. I work closely with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication management and supportive therapy, always focusing on realistic and meaningful progress.
My goal is to help clients better understand their mental health, build effective coping strategies, and feel empowered in their treatment journey.
I was born and raised in both Texas and overseas via military father. I experienced the machismo of Texas along with the racism experienced by the mostly Latino/a population in Texas, and always wanted to find a career helping those who have been ostracized and "othered."
I am board certified with a masters degree in nursing from University of Texas, and as a licensed psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. I practice in the state of New York.
I enjoy assisting those with diagnoses of bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, adhd, and schizophrenia, along with post-traumatic stress disorder, and the varied problems that arise from past trauma.
I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Master’s in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Stony Brook University and diverse experience across various settings, including the psychiatric emergency room, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. This breadth of experience has shaped my holistic and individualized approach to patient care. I take a thoughtful and conservative approach to psychopharmacology, recognizing that each person has unique needs and deserves personalized treatment.
I am accepting children, adolescent and adult clients currently.
