Life can be inherently stressful. We often feel trapped by our own circumstances, voiceless in our relationships and powerless to significant change in our lives. We even convince ourselves that if we just wait a little while longer, the problem might go away. Well first let me start by saying that, therapy is best sought when we realize and acknowledge that we are struggling. I have experience working in a variety of settings with individuals, couples, and families with various demographics.
I offer a direct, warm, and affirming approach in therapy. I work with men, women, teens, and pre-teens to address a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. These include anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, high-functioning autism and relationship issues.
Many of my clients also struggle with a deeply held belief that something is “wrong” with them or that they are undeserving of respect, dignity, and love.
Clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by anxiety related to relationships, work, and self-image. Many are neurodiverse. Others face challenges such as social anxiety, feeling like they are “failing” at life, or being in frustrating relationships where they feel unheard, overlooked, or unequal.
Using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help clients reduce anxiety and trauma, build self-awareness, strengthen boundaries, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is simple: to help you feel better, stronger, and more confident in your life.
I like to work with teens and their families offering practical strategies to reduce defiance, stress, and anger, so both parents and children can experience more positive, joyful, and connected outcomes.
Before becoming a therapist, I received an MBA from UCLA and spent over 30 years in the corporate world, working in IT, banking, aerospace, manufacturing, marketing, and management. I served as an Executive Director of a local counseling agency. This background allows me to effectively help professionals, as well as individuals navigating major life transitions, including aging. I enjoy supporting and coaching new therapists.
I am branching out to the clinical side of social work, and I enjoy meeting and helping new people. I try to always look at situations from the 'how can I help' mindset. I have primarily been treating children with anxiety and depression but also enjoy working with adults. I help clients identify tools to use to reduce stress and anxiety in their lives. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space where you can better understand your thoughts and feelings, begin to process what’s weighing on you, and develop the tools needed to feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your life.
I’ve been working as a therapist since 2014 and bring over a decade of experience supporting people through life’s challenges and transitions. I hold a bachelor’s degree in both psychology and human development and a master’s degree in clinical counseling psychology. I have extensive experience with anxiety, depression, trauma, relational stress, and identity and life-stage concerns and transitions. At the core of my work is a belief in the healing power of genuine human connection.
