

I work from a client centered and trauma informed approach addressing all aspects of a client's whole self, to help the client find healing, hope and freedom to navigate life's challenges and learn to thrive. Although I work with clients of all ages, I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults. I am committed to instilling hope in the lives of clients and their families. Emily Biggs-Heisler, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Clinical Director and Co-Owner of Mountainside Behavioral Health.
She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in clinical, research, and testing settings and is intensively trained in brief suicide prevention interventions, cognitive behavioral and trauma-based therapies, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Dr. Biggs-Heisler provides individual, family, and couples therapy. She teaches DBT skills groups, provides supervision to staff and trainees, and works with clients who are twelve years old and above.
As a therapist, I aim to create a non-judgemental and compassionate space where clients can feel seen, understood, and supported as they work through life’s challenges.
