As the curator of Get Your Mind Right Therapy Services LLC., we work with Adult Individuals. Our motto: ‘A Healed Mind Leads to a Healed Life’. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in Couples and Adult Individual Therapy. I graduated in 2012 which means I have lots of experience and wisdom.
Hello! My name is Katie, and I have been a counselor for over 15 years. I am experienced in helping adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, and relationship issues.
I believe quality mental health care starts with feeling heard and respected. I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach and work to understand the whole person, not just symptoms. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space while offering thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to each individual’s needs.
As a licensed psychologist in California and Illinois, I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University. I also serve as a Professor of Psychology training and supervising graduate students. My experience includes counseling roles at the University of Illinois and National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan. I specialize in anxiety, stress, relationships, life transitions, with a focus on perfectionism and cultural adjustment.

Hello! I'm Alyssa Norbeck and I'm a LCSW in IL. I understand that it can feel vulnerable to begin therapy, but I'm passionate about making therapy a safe space where you feel heard and understood. I received my Master's in Social Work from USC. I've worked with different age groups presenting with a range of clinical issues in both individual and group settings, including private practice, mental health and substance use IOP, crisis management and stabilization, EAP, and in SNF/long term care.
It’s exhausting when your own mind feels like a hurdle. Maybe you’re navigating intrusive thoughts that feel impossible to shut off, or you’re struggling to get things done and remember what’s important while your brain feels like it’s constantly misfiring. Perhaps you’re grieving a version of yourself that felt certain, watching the life you planned get derailed by chronic illness or the weight of a diagnosis you didn’t ask for. When your "to-do" list feels like a mountain and your past keeps creeping into your present, it’s easy to feel lost or, worse, dismissed by the people who are supposed to help.
