Did you experience trauma in childhood or adolescence? Are you experiencing stress, anxiety, fear, or depression? Do you feel misunderstood by others, judged, or find it challenging to connect with others? Therapy is a safe place where you can understand yourself better and learn to cope with these thoughts and feelings, which may be interfering with your happiness, health, and relationships.
Sometimes life invites us to pause. You might feel the weight of high expectations, catch yourself saying yes when you mean no, notice the restless hum of a mind that won’t settle, or keep moving so fast you never give yourself a moment to slow down. Maybe you notice old patterns such as people pleasing, putting work first, getting caught in draining relationships, using habits or substances to numb out, or wrestling with the restlessness of ADHD. You may even sense that something in your life is ready for a shift, even if you’re not yet sure what it will look like.
Before becoming a therapist I spent years in the fast-paced corporate world of New York City advertising. Stepping away from that hustle and into the work of healing continues to shape how I sit with others.
I am a LCSW with a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, with five years in private practice and over a decade in the integrative wellness world. I'm also 200-hour yoga teacher certified and a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy facilitator in IRB approved clinical trials. Training in these areas, along with years of yoga and mindfulness practice, has deepened my understanding that mind, body, and spirit are not separate, but part of one whole.
I work with anxious, highly sensitive, and neurodivergent adults, and with people navigating complex trauma, relationship struggles, addiction, career changes, and other significant life transitions. Together we listen beneath the noise. We invite the body to speak, the mind to soften, and the heart and spirit to remember its belonging until what you discover is not something to chase, but the quiet presence of the Self you have always been.

Hello there! My name is Shannon and whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you're looking for continuing support, I'd be honored to partner with you in your healing journey. Using trauma-informed approaches, I meet you where you're at in your journey. I've supported clients through issues such as complex trauma, anxiety, challenging relationships, grief, and low self-esteem along with others.
If you’re looking for a therapist who will validate your feelings and gently (or not so gently) challenge your patterns, we might be a great fit. I bring warmth, honesty, humor, and accountability into the therapy room. I show up as a real human who will laugh with you, sit in the hard stuff, and call things out when they need to be called out.
I chose to become a therapist because I am amazed at the healing process through human connection. As complex beings, I am left in awe at the strength and resilience each individual possesses. I believe that despite difficulties faced, we have the power to rewrite our own story and live to fullest most authentic selves.
Our work together will not only aid you in overcoming any difficulties you may be facing but help understand patterns to develop tools that can be used in everyday life.
I aim to provide a healing space through compassion, support and acceptance. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, however, I often utilize tools from different modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and inner child healing.
I hope to have the opportunity to hear from you and help you achieve your greater self.
