Hello! My name is Samantha Olson. I am a licensed psychotherapist dedicated to helping my clients improve relationships and better manage distressing thoughts/emotions.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York. I earned a both my BA in Psychology and my MA in Mental Health Counseling at Adelphi University. I currently serve the community as a Director of Behavioral Health in a major health system. I have worked with a wide variety of populations across multiple settings including higher education, hospital and private practice. I have been fortunate in my career to serve many specialized populations including neurodivergence, severe and persistent acute mental illness, caregivers, geriatrics, and perinatal clients. I also enjoy working with couples. I do not believe in a one size fits all model. I believe that each individual is unique and use a collaborative approach to counseling to ensure my clients needs are met. I am humbled to be invited to be a part of your therapeutic journey and look forward to sharing in this process together!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked with many trauma survivors. I began trauma focused work as a counselor at a domestic violence shelter working with women and then began working with a wide range of crime victims. I began using EMDR in my practice to have better efficacy in treatment and to accelerate the healing process. I spent three years working on a DBT team delivering comprehensive DBT and facilitated DBT groups with adults, adolescents and parents.

Mental health acts as a lens that shapes how we see and understand our experiences. When we take good care of it, it can make life's challenges feel less overwhelming, helping us to face them more calmly and confidently. As a therapist, I firmly believe that mental health fosters a resilient mindset that promotes self-compassion, acceptance, optimism and hope. With nearly a decade of experience as a practicing therapist, I have supported clients of all ages, ranging from infants and parents to adolescents and adults. My current focus is on helping young adults navigating the pressures of expectations, feeling disconnected from their voice, or uncertain about their next steps. I provide a space where you can fully be yourself.
I have a history working in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings throughout my career. I developed a passion for helping marginalized groups, specifically the LGBTQIA+ and queer communities, and for helping all people address the trauma in their lives. I have experience with adults with a variety of mental health and substance use disorders, but I also enjoy working with people who just need support through various transitions and struggles in their lives.
You've taken a brave step towards self-discovery and growth, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. As a dedicated clinical therapist, I provide a safe and empathetic space where we can work together to navigate challenges and create positive long lasting growth.
I specialize in working with anxiety/stress disorders, depression, and those with difficulty connecting with others around them. Therapy is a collaborative partnership, and I'm here to listen, understand, and guide you.
Hello, my name is Chris Jones and I am a licensed therapist residing in upstate New York. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Syracuse University in 1999 and have been in this field of work ever since. The majority of my experience has been working with teenagers and adults on mental health and environmental challenges.
My journey to becoming a mental health provider began with a desire to help others achieve greater self-insight and personal growth. Witnessing the impact that understanding oneself and developing effective coping strategies can have on one's life inspired me to pursue this path. After earning my degree from Columbia University and gaining experience in various settings, I became committed to gaining the skills needed to support individuals in their personal development and emotional well-being.
