I approach my work with clients from a relational, evidence-based perspective; while I want to use research-based interventions to help you in your therapy journey, I also recognize the importance of the therapeutic relationship itself. The space I try to build with clients is warm, supportive, humorous, and actively engaging. I see clients for both short and long term therapeutic interventions depending on need.

I earned my Master’s from SUNY Albany’s School of Social Welfare and have spent over a decade working with adults, teens, and families from every background — from New York to Oregon and back again. My name is Michelle Fisher, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I specialize in working with individuals who are navigating adjustment issues, or struggling with anxiety and/or depression. I have been in this field for 27 years and I thoroughly enjoy helping people to obtain a better quality of life.
I'm a licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience supporting marginalized communities, including women, minorities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and millennials. My integrative approach involves addressing their distinct cultural, psychological, trauma, and self-esteem needs while ensuring a warm and empathetic atmosphere.

Many are high-functioning individuals navigating stress, loss, trauma, or life transitions, seeking more than symptom relief. Others feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, even without a clear reason. I work collaboratively to understand your full experience and support meaningful change, integrating insight, practical strategies, and body-based awareness to help you build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move forward with clarity and intention.
