Hello! I'm Miri Salamone Burnett, and I'm here to be a direct, compassionate, and collaborative partner in your journey toward change.
I specialize in helping adults, elders, couples, and families who are struggling with Trauma, Stress disorders, navigating Addiction and Recovery, and addressing complex Mood and Relationship Challenges (including anxiety, depression, grief, and family conflict). My goal is simple: to help you move past what’s holding you back and build lasting resilience. I offer services in English and intermediate Spanish.
My business works with individuals to address feelings of depression, low self-esteem, self-worth and more. I assist in providing clarity in your thought processes, offer guidance and support towards your self-directed goals.
My experience includes working with clients struggling with issues surrounding identity development, anxiety, depression, sexuality, self-esteem, relationships, grief and adjusting to life transitions. Central to my practice, is a strong focus on grounding and mindfulness. Additionally, I have achieved Level 1 and Level 2 in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I am especially passionate about helping clients have more fulfilling and healthier relationships in their lives.
What inspired me to become a psychotherapist? Witnessing the challenges people face in life and being captivated by superheroes as a child. Helping others is my passion—it feels like I'm living my childhood dreams. My experience in state psychiatric centers, working with individuals dealing with severe and persistent mental health issues, solidified my desire to assist those with social and emotional needs. While working as a school counselor was rewarding, I felt compelled to offer more comprehensive services beyond psycho-educational workshops. Pursuing clinical therapy was a natural progression for me. I earned my mental health counseling degree at LIU Post and furthered my expertise with certifications and training in CBT, internal family systems, ACT, and logotherapy. These skills enable me to assist clients with reparenting, anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress management, co-parenting, couples counseling, family therapy, and emotional regulation. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I bring an interactive and down-to-earth approach to therapy. My goal is to equip you with a practical skill set that promotes growth and fulfillment. I look forward to meeting you and helping you live the life you envision!
Clients often describe me as approachable, supportive, and easy to talk to. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I believe seeking counseling is a courageous step and that life’s challenges can become opportunities for growth, healing, and greater self-understanding. I have experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, and life transitions while developing effective coping strategies and meaningful change.
I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and clinical hypnosis, allowing me to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Starting in therapy creates a space for you to voice your thoughts while receiving support, validation and other perspectives to explore. When struggling with self-doubt, critical self talk, and the weight of societal expectations around identity, relationships or image a place to talk it through is crucial. These can become barriers to effective communication, self care and greatly affect our mental health. We all deserve a space to be heard and process these experiences. A part of the therapy process is bringing awareness to how these internal narratives and external experiences influence anxiety, depression, mood, self-esteem and self-worth.
My name is Elana Isser. I am a licensed clinical social worker. in New Jersey, New York, and Maryland. I am a graduate of Columbia School of Social Work and I have worked with clients of all ages in hospital and outpatient telehealth settings. I use evidence-based treatments, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in my work.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. and a trained in EMDR therapist. I work with individuals, partners, couples, and polycules on a variety of issues related to love, sex and relationships. I believe in the ethos of “helping others help themselves”; as a therapist, this is still my greatest strength as well as the cornerstone that has shaped my practice today. My specializations lie in treating those who are exploring their sex lives, whether it be individually or with a partner(s).
