I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and CASAC-2 with experience supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, and life stressors. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to juggle responsibilities while trying to care for your mental and emotional health. My goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. I work with clients who may feel stuck, burned out, or unsure where to begin, and I tailor treatment to meet each person’s unique needs and goals.
Caitlin is an experienced, master’s level, clinical social worker. His approach to therapy tailors each session to fit the needs of his clients and utilizes compassionate and person-focused discovery techniques.
Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families across diverse clinical settings. My career began in group homes working with adolescents and adults living with chronic mental illness, followed by work with the Department of Children and Families, Visiting Nurse Association and Crisis Intervention through the hospital Emergency Department where I developed strong skills in assessment, stabilization, and systems navigation.
For the past 10 years, I have specialized in Integrated Behavioral Health within a primary care setting, collaborating closely with medical providers to deliver whole-person, accessible mental health care.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Marist College and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University. I utilize a range of evidence-based and client-centered treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), insight-oriented therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. My work is grounded in helping clients build insight, develop coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
My name is Courtney Kadish-Smith and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked in both mental health and addiction throughout my career. I have a passion for therapy and at the end of the day I am aware this is not an easy thing to commit too. Exploring into ourselves and working to get better is something that takes courage. I applaud you for reaching out in the first place and now we can take the step together towards making your life better.
In my work, I am passionate about creating a safe and collaborative environment that can serve as a catalyst for self-understanding and change. I am warm and empathetic. I strive to help clients improve coping skills, interpersonal relationships, heal past trauma, and build self esteem and understanding. I have years of experience working with ages ranging from young children to adults on both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.
I work with children, adults and parents struggling with neurodevelopmental issues. We explore current and past behavioral, social and learning strengths and weaknesses. Together we formulate an action plan with concrete, personalized goals. My goal is to help clients navigate these concerns effectively, with compassion and insight.
I conduct therapy sessions in both English and Spanish. I have experience working with individuals facing challenges related to depression and/or anxiety, as well as those with a history of self-harm and suicidal ideation. I also work with clients to heal from sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, intergenerational trauma, and racial trauma.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in somatic psychotherapy, which acknowledges the mind-body connection and the ways stress is held in the body. As a first-generation Mexican, I am deeply passionate about supporting BIPOC individuals and those from immigrant families.
Additionally, I have a strong background in working with individuals who engage in problematic sexual behavior, as well as those seeking to address an unhealthy relationship with alcohol and drugs.
Over thirty years of experience partnering with clients of all ages, from a wide variety of backgrounds, has confirmed for me each person has within themselves the resources and ability to become the person they wish to be and to improve their satisfaction in life.
