

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) therapist, licensed in Virginia and North Carolina. I specialize in supporting women navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. My background includes years of experience in community mental health, crisis counseling, and private practice, giving me a wide perspective on the challenges people face. Many of my clients come to me during seasons of change, adjusting to motherhood, coping with loss, or redefining their identity after difficult experiences.

I currently hold a Masters of Arts degree with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Concentration, from North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. I graduated from North Carolina Central University in May, 2015. I became a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor(license number, S11870) in the state of North Carolina on September 4, 2025.
I have been working in a mental health setting since 2007. I have provided Intensive In-Home services and Day Treatment services as a Qualified Professional. I have been providing Outpatient Therapy services since May, 2016. The population that I have provided services to include children, adolescents and adults. The clients that I provide services to have many different diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depressive Disorders and other mood disorders. When working with families, it is primarily addressing conflict in response to the mental illness of the children in the family.
I’m a licensed therapist who specializes in working with anxious overthinkers, people-pleasers, perfectionists, and caregivers who are exhausted from trying to hold everything together. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who look “high-functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, self-critical, or emotionally drained on the inside.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a school counselor, which deeply shaped how I approach mental health, relationships, and family systems. I also bring lived experience as a parent into my work, especially when supporting clients who are navigating stress, burnout, and the emotional demands of raising children.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in Conflict Studies and Dispute Resolution from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I also hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling, with honors of distinction from Capella University. I am a trained mediator who loves the opportunity to allow clients to be exactly who they are, while they figure out who they want to be.
