¡Hola! I’m Daniel, a bilingual, English-Spanish clinical social worker. I provide deep compassion and empathy that derive from my professional and lived experience helping people who are incarcerated and facing uncertain, stressful futures. When you work with me, you’ll understand that you’re not alone in your struggles, you can grow and get through anything, and you are inherently necessary in this world.
I work with both couples and individuals, using approaches that fit who you are and what you’re going through. As a parent to adult children, I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to raise kids and stay connected, and how important it is to feel supported along the way. With my background as a Registered Nurse, I also bring a mind-body perspective to our work together.
It is my belief that as people become more aware and accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding a sense of peace and contentment in their lives. Some of my clients need only a few sessions to achieve these goals, others may require months or even years to put their puzzle pieces together. As a client, you are in complete control, and you may end your relationship with me at any point. I am actively licensed in the State of Texas as a LMFT; LPC; and LCDC.
What is your approach to therapy? For therapy to be most successful, it is important for you to take an active role. This means working on the things you and I talk about, both during and between sessions. Generally, the more you are willing to invest the greater the return. It is my intention to empower you in your growth process to the degree that you can face life’s challenges in the future without me. I do not believe in creating dependency or prolonging therapy if the therapeutic intervention does not seem to be helping.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?As a clinician, I have experience providing person-centered recovery plans; rehabilitation skills training; case management; and crisis intervention services, to individuals living with severe and persistent mental health concerns. I am qualified to offer a wide array of counseling services in the areas of Individual Family; Couples; and Chemical Dependency. Counseling services to address a wide range of mental health and relationship issues that impact a person’s emotional health and wellbeing.
With two decades of nursing experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and compassion to my practice. My career began with two years in geriatric care, where I developed a deep appreciation for the unique needs of older adults. I then spent six years in pediatric care, nurturing the health and well-being of children and their families. For the past twelve years, I have specialized in women’s services, focusing on empowering women through various stages of life.

Hi! I'm Sharin, and welcome to Your Evolving Truth Therapies! Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming and I’m glad you are taking this step on the path to where you want to be. I provide individual therapy to people 16+. I named my practice Your Evolving Truth Therapies (YET Therapies) because where you are at right now does not have to be where you stay; there is a lot of power in the word YET! I am an identity-affirming and trauma-informed therapist. My areas of focus include life transitions, stress management, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss.
I believe that healing is not a one size fits all process. Every person arrives with a unique story, a distinct set of strengths, and their own way of making meaning in the world. I honor that individuality as I provide a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow at a pace that feels authentic to them. I believe in helping people and not fixing them because people aren't broken.
