As a therapist, it is my passion to support women navigating challenges related to different life stages. I provide a compassionate, safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore their emotional and physical well being.
Welcome! My name is Shannon, and I have been a practicing social worker (licensed in 2020) for 10 years. I received my MSW in Social Work in 2014 from California State University, Chico. As a therapist, I specialize in supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and relationship difficulties. I have ample experience providing support to individuals who struggle with emotion regulation challenges, self-harm/self-harming urges, and suicide ideation.
I believe that therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection. I bring an open mind to every session, meeting each client exactly where they are without judgement. My empathy and compassion guide me in truly understanding your perspective, while my commitment to your growth helps us work toward meaningful change. I value honesty, respect, and collaboration, and I strive to create a space where you can feel safe exploring even the most difficult emotions.
I have extensive background working with Neurodiverse persons. My background could best be described as ADHD unleashed. I have previously worked with Group Home Youth, Community Mental Health, School Based Mental health, and High Risk Outpatient clients.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, working through telehealth. I specialize in adults going through life transitions. You may be challenged by loss, religious or spiritual transitions, depression, separation or divorce, mid-life changes, issues of aging, and facing up to death. I can help you transform these into deeper explorations for personal growth and meaning.
I provide clients with tools. discernment, and hope for the future. My sessions are supportive, helping to guide, and encourage you with a caring. compassionate, and non-judgmental approach. When you feel that your train has gotten off track, I will help you get back on track. Christian counseling is also available upon request.
Something uncomfortable brought you here. You may have tried to move forward and found that something still lingers. You understand what’s going on, but it hasn’t shifted in a meaningful way. My clients come ready to do real work. I meet each person as a whole person, not as a diagnosis or as a presenting problem. I work primarily with adults and young adults, using EMDR alongside CBT and solution-focused and person-centered approaches that support real change. Our focus is on what hasn’t moved and why, so you’re not just managing symptoms but creating genuine, lasting movement forward. If you have done the talking and still do not feel free, I would love to connect.
