As an immigrant woman growing up in America, I have seen and personally experienced the challenges of being a minority woman. Through resiliency and perseverance, I am now the clinical director of an outpatient program at a non-profit. I have been working in the community mental health field serving low-income individuals and families for over 15 years. I specialize in trauma treatment, especially sexual trauma. I use a trauma- and cultural-informed lens to look at the issue.
I am an experienced therapist of many years who feels lucky to be in a career that engages my intellect and my heart. I have always had my own private practice which enables me to be creative and flexible in my approach. People, in all their complexity and shared humanity, continue to fascinate.
Hi there, I'm Jaime - a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience supporting all ages in crisis settings involving anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I use a trauma informed approach that blends CBT, mindfulness, and other evidence-based practices and strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood while building tools to navigate life’s challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and goals.
I have been helping families and individuals find a path of healing for 20 years. I have additional training in hypnosis for those who would like to try it.
I love doing this work! I consider it a great privilege to walk alongside my clients, to partner with them, support them in their journey, and witness their growth.
I've been in therapy myself and have both healed and grown tremendously having worked with
therapists. Through my work with skilled therapists, I have become a more present, alive, whole-
bodied person that has learned to love myself--to be kinder to myself, less self-critical, happier,
and enjoy expressing my various forms of creativity. I'm not perfect but I continue to make shifts
when I drift into old patterns. As a result of these experiences and recommitting to shifting into
presence, self-acceptance, and whole-body awareness I feel more connected, alive and at peace. I
enjoy loving relationships with the people closest to me including my wife and children. When
not working with people, I enjoy reading biographies and adventure novels, playing board and
card games, watching live baseball games, and enjoying a variety of outdoor activities and
pursuits.
I am a licensed therapist with over 13 years of experience working with adults, families, and children. Using cognitive behavioral techniques, as well as strength-based and solution-focused models, my goal is to help my clients develop coping skills to manage day-to-day stress, strengthen their relationships and gain an improved quality of life.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have helped hundreds of individuals, couples, and families navigate some of the most challenging times in their lives with compassion and practical help. It makes such a difference to have someone in your corner with a listening ear and wisdom for life's journey!
Do you feel like something is wrong with you? Do you wish it would all just stop and go away? Is your child acting out and you don't know why or what to do? If you have had any of these thoughts, then you're in the right place! My practice is based around what happened to us, not what is wrong with us. I am here to support & guide you in processing thoughts and feelings, reflect on experiences, learn new coping skills, and figure out next steps. I will listen, teach, brainstorm, guide and help you build tools to meet your goals.
My name is Betel, and I am a California Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in my 6th year of practice. I received my MA from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, where I trained in a process-oriented, humanistic-existential style of clinical work. My background also includes coaching in ketamine-assisted care settings, and I am psychedelics-informed and educated.
At the foundation of my work is the belief that human being is an organic unfolding, in which mindful awareness plays an enduring and creative role. I therefore tend to work especially well with artists, young adults, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone navigating major life transitions or places of in-between in their sense of who they are.
Hello, I’m Jeanet Vargas, LCSW dedicated to supporting individuals navigating divorce, breakups, and major life transitions. I am passionate in working with first generation population and professionals managing stress, anxiety, depression, and OCD.
As a first-generation individual, you may carry unique pressures—balancing family expectations, cultural values, and personal needs—while trying to honor where you come from and where you’re headed. Together, we’ll work through these challenges, exploring tools to manage grief, anxiety, and self-doubt, and to help you reconnect with your voice and inner strength.
