I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from New York University's Silver School of Social work. Prior to earning my master's degree, I studied Music Therapy and Psychology at Berklee College of Music. After finishing my undergraduate Degree at Berklee I worked as a Music Therapist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and then worked for two years at an inpatient Psychiatric Hospital in LA. Working as a Music Therapist was fulfilling but left me feeling like I wanted to help get at the root of my client's trauma and have a deeper impact on their lives. After finishing my Master's I worked as a family therapist for a preventative program funded by Child Protective Services, I then transitioned to a group practice based in Brooklyn serving a diverse client caseload. I have now been working in private practice for over four years working primarily with women with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, perfectionism and body-image related issues.
Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside but internally struggle with anxiety, trauma, overthinking, relationship patterns, or persistent feelings of guilt and self-doubt. They often understand their patterns intellectually yet still feel stuck repeating them. I specialize in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps the brain process difficult or overwhelming experiences so they no longer feel as emotionally intense, allowing clients to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy works best not by giving quick fixes, but by creating a space where we can slow down together and get curious about what's underneath the surface; your patterns, your pain, your hopes, and the parts of you that may have been left behind along the way.
If you are struggling with unresolved trauma, grief or loss, if you are trying to cope with depression or anxiety, if you and your partner have forgotten your love language, reach out. As a compassionate listener I provide a judgment free, supportive environment. I am now offering teletherapy so that you can receive support in the comfort of your chosen venue at flexible times. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with extensive clinical experience in hospitals, clinics and private practice settings.
